OH NOES!!! Teh bugz...

...but I have to admit... it... has... good... form (oh I said it >.<)
Freakn' bloodsuckers...

...well... that's my bug... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay... do not come near me.
(note: I have no clue why they're sideways... but I guess for now, gotta live with it.)

I first used the idea of repetition (obviously) to roughly design the shapes to be cut.

I used negative space to also indicate motion in the same direction as the counter-clockwsie motion I tried to create with my shapes.

With motion in mind, I decided to ascend color temperature from cold to warm, to catch the eye and bring it into a full circle.

The negative space was taken into great consideration. A white background would not have worked because the patterns on the shapes mostly have white. With a white background, it would be very difficult to discern the shapes. My background works because it defines the shape of the shapes, while still holding a value that is different from the shapes that will define the negative space.

I wanted to create a move from the edges, moving around and around untill you come to the focal point in the center.
